The Navarra Music Commission

A public agency promoting the music sector in the Navarra Region

The Navarra Music Commission (NMC) was set up in 2022 as a public agency to support, train, advise, develop and promote the music industry in Navarra.

El proyecto, integrado en la empresa pública NICDO e impulsado por el Departamento de Cultura y Deporte del Gobierno de Navarra, nace de la necesidad detectada tanto en las músicas y músicos, base fundamental de la pirámide, como en una buena parte del sector de contar con una ventanilla única a la que acceder para plantear sus sugerencias, necesidades y proyectos.

Its three main areas of work are support, training and promotion.

Connection with the outside

At the same time, the NMC was set up as a tool to create different programmes of its own, in which it includes mainly artists from the Navarra region, but also others from elsewhere. Attracting to the Navarra Region those projects that promote and develop the local music industry, or that lead to an connection and exchange of ideas and creativity between local groups and groups from elsewhere is a key part of the NMC's work as an “external” agency.

In this respect, the NMC is a very useful point of contact for all those promoters, groups or festivals wishing to stage their events in the Navarra Region and who need advice of any kind.
